Overview
Edcord offers to schedule classes using Google Meet. Google Meet is a video-communication service developed by Google. It is one of two apps that constitute the replacement for Google Hangouts, the other being Google Chat.
Let’s see how it’s done –
Steps to follow
- Go to classroom > Scheduling > Fill in the class details.
- Select Meet as conferencing tool. Click on connect where Meet icon is placed.
- You will be redirected to the google authentication. Enter your google credentials.
- After authentication, Click on schedule your classes will be scheduled.
- You can see the scheduled class in the left panel.
Where can all scheduled classes be viewed?
You can view your scheduled or upcoming classes from the class list panel. You can only edit or cancel classes created by you.
Editing a scheduled class.
You can edit a class from the class list panel, select a class that you want to edit by clicking on and select edit class.
Your class details will be reflected in the scheduling form, select the field that you want to modify and click schedule.
Cancelling/Deleting a class.
You can cancel a class from the class list panel, select a class that you want to cancel by clicking on and select edit class.
Select class cancel reason from the popup and click on submit. Your class will be cancelled and will be moved to past class.
Disconnecting my linked Google account.
A linked google account can be disconnected. Just click on disconnect where the meet icon is placed. Your google account will be disconnected.
